The Challenge
Did you know that on average 30% of students drop out of college each semester? First year college students are the most vulnerable based on a recent study- 50% of first-year college students lack the skills to keep up with college demands. The reasons are varied and complex, but some of the most common challenges include:
Academic Pressure: The transition from high school to college can be academically demanding, due to underdeveloped organizations skills. Students fall behind and cannot catch up.
Financial Hardships: Tuition, books, and living expenses can be overwhelming, due to limitations with time management skills
Lack of Support: Many students, especially first-generation college students, lack the support systems they need to navigate college life
